Top Social Networking Apps on iOS in Spain: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of social networking apps on the iOS platform in Spain showcased interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varying patterns in downloads and user engagement.

Threads saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, particularly towards the end of the quarter. Starting at approximately 73K downloads in early October, it peaked at around 99K in mid-December. Meanwhile, weekly active users for Threads consistently rose from 1.8M to nearly 2.3M by the end of December.

Telegram Messenger experienced fluctuations in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads began at about 41K, dipping to 26K by the end of December. Revenue followed a similar pattern, starting at $18K and peaking at $21K in the last week of December. Active users remained relatively stable, slightly decreasing from 3.3M to 3.1M over the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady presence with a slight increase in weekly downloads from 27K to 54K in late December. Active user numbers hovered around 9.3M, showing minimal variation throughout the quarter.

Facebook had consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 17K to 23K, with a slight increase towards the quarter's end. Revenue remained stable, averaging around $4.5K weekly. Active users saw a minor rise from 3.9M to 3.9M.

Google Meet showed a decrease in both downloads and active users. Downloads started at 18K, dropping to 8.8K by the end of December. Active users also decreased from 122K to approximately 113K.
